This song was written for and inspired by the book “Sarah” written by JT Leroy. Sarah is the story of the prodigal son recast in the carnivalesque world of the highway truck stop and its environs. The narrator, an androgynous twelve year old boy, idolizes his mother Sarah, a “lot lizard,” or truckstop whore. He leaves the safety of the lot - a perversely idyllic kingdom ruled by Glading Grateful ETC., a benevolent pimp who sent one of his boys to chef’s school to cook gourmet meals at the truckstop diner - on a quest to become as famous as his mother. Adopting her name and sex, “Sarah” stumbles into dangerous and fantastic worlds pocketed away in the West Virginian wilds. Behold, I’m posting!

So much has happened since I last did. And in and almost paradoxial way, the reason I haven’t posted is because of all the things that have been happening.

Firstly, new job. Its in London so I’m out of the house till eight every night. Then I get a couple of hours to eat before its time to go back to sleep again ready for tomorrow’s 0630 start.

Secondly, I’m flat hunting. Down in London. I looked a couple tonight, it was nearly 2200 when I got in and ate my tea. I’m now offically zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

And finally, Wednesday, I’m working late on an install. So I’ll be finished there around 2100, so I’ll probably get the train back around 2200. I’ll be lucky to be in bed by 2330, and then I have to get back up again at half six to get back to work Thursday. This job is hard work, luckily I’m loving every minute of it.

I have a few more flats to look at Thursday, then I’ll give you all the lowdown on what I find.

And now, bedtime.
